Temperament and Compatibility: Generally peaceful but can be territorial towards conspecifics or similar-shaped fish. Best kept singly or as a mated pair in larger tanks. Compatible with other peaceful reef-safe species but caution is advised with aggressive tankmates.
Diet: Omnivorous. Requires a varied diet including high-quality frozen or fresh meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and specialised marine fish pellets. Supplement with algae-based foods to mimic natural feeding habits.
Minimum Tank Size: 150 litres (40 US gallons) to provide adequate swimming space and territory.
Reef Safety: With Caution. May nip at coral polyps or sessile invertebrates; monitor behaviour closely in reef setups.
