Acropora spathulata is a highly sought-after small polyp stony (SPS) coral prized for its intricate branching and vibrant colours. This frag is cultured and DJM grown, ensuring a healthy, acclimatised specimen ready for your marine aquarium.
Lighting: Requires strong, high-quality lighting such as metal halide, T5, or high-output LED systems to thrive and maintain vibrant pigmentation.
Water Flow: Prefers moderate to strong, turbulent water flow to mimic natural reef conditions and prevent detritus accumulation.
Placement: Position higher in the tank to ensure adequate light exposure, with sufficient space around it to avoid aggression or damage from neighbouring corals.
Care Level: Suitable for experienced aquarists familiar with maintaining stable water parameters and SPS coral husbandry.
Tank Conditions: Maintain stable parameters with temperature around 24-26°C, salinity 1.025-1.026, calcium 400-450 ppm, alkalinity 8-12 dKH, and magnesium 1250-1350 ppm.
Compatibility: Reef safe with adequate spacing; avoid placing too close to aggressive corals to prevent stinging or overgrowth.
This frag format allows for easier integration into established reef tanks and offers an excellent opportunity to cultivate a spectacular SPS coral colony.
