Bursatella leachi, commonly known as the sea hare, is an intriguing marine invertebrate prized for its algae grazing abilities and unique appearance. Available in various sizes, this species is a peaceful addition to many marine aquariums.

Care Level: Moderate. Bursatella leachi requires stable water conditions and a well-established tank with ample algae growth for grazing.

Diet: Primarily herbivorous, feeding on a variety of algae types. Supplementary feeding with dried seaweed or algae sheets may be necessary if natural algae is insufficient.

Compatibility: Generally peaceful and compatible with most reef-safe tank inhabitants. Avoid housing with aggressive fish or invertebrates that may harm them.

Reef Safety: Yes. Bursatella leachi is considered reef safe and does not harm corals or sessile invertebrates.

Tank Requirements: A minimum tank size of 75 litres (20 gallons) is recommended to provide sufficient space and algae growth. Moderate water flow and stable water parameters are essential.
