The Amphiprion polymnus, or Polkadot Clownfish, is a captivating addition to any marine aquarium. Native to the Indo-Pacific region, it is a hardy species well-suited to captive care.
Care Level: Suitable for intermediate hobbyists due to its specific host requirements and moderate tank size needs.
Temperament: Generally peaceful and social, Amphiprion polymnus can be kept singly or in pairs. It may show territorial behaviour towards conspecifics or similar clownfish species, so careful consideration is needed when housing multiple clownfish.

Lighting Requirements: Moderate lighting is sufficient, especially if housing anemones or corals alongside.
Water Flow: Moderate water movement mimics natural reef conditions and supports fish health.
Placement: Provide live host anemones such as Heteractis crispa or Stichodactyla haddoni if possible, or suitable coral hosts. Ensure plenty of hiding spots and stable water parameters.
