Care Level: Moderate to advanced. This species requires stable water conditions and a well-established tank.
Temperament: Generally peaceful but can be territorial, especially towards conspecifics or similar species. Best kept singly or as a mated pair in larger tanks.
Diet: Omnivorous. Feed a varied diet including marine algae, spirulina, mysis shrimp, and specialised angelfish preparations to ensure optimal health.
Minimum Tank Size: 120 litres (approximately 30 gallons) recommended to provide adequate swimming space and territory.
Lighting Requirements: Moderate lighting suitable for reef environments.
Water Flow: Moderate water flow to mimic natural reef conditions.
Placement: Provide plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding spots. Avoid aggressive tank mates to reduce stress.
