Rhodactis spp. are popular soft corals prized for their vibrant colours and unique textures, making them a captivating addition to any marine reef aquarium. This Grade A frag consists of one healthy ear, cultivated through responsible tank-breeding methods to ensure quality and sustainability.
Lighting: Rhodactis spp. thrive under moderate lighting conditions. Avoid intense direct light to prevent bleaching. LED or T5 lighting systems with adjustable intensity are ideal.
Water Flow: Provide moderate, indirect water flow to keep the coral healthy and free from detritus accumulation. Strong currents can cause tissue damage.
Placement: Position the frag on stable rockwork in the lower to middle regions of the tank. Ensure adequate spacing from neighbouring corals to prevent aggression and allow for expansion.
Care Level: Suitable for hobbyists with some experience in soft coral husbandry. Rhodactis spp. are relatively hardy but benefit from stable water parameters.
Compatibility: Reef safe with adequate spacing. Avoid placing near aggressive corals that may sting or overshadow.
Additional Notes: Feeding is generally not required as Rhodactis spp. derive nutrition from photosynthesis and dissolved nutrients. However, occasional target feeding with coral foods can promote growth.
