Care Level: Moderate to advanced. The Blue Ribbon Eel requires stable water conditions and a well-established aquarium.
Temperament: Generally peaceful but can be shy. It may become territorial towards other eels or similar species.
Diet: Carnivorous. Feed a varied diet of meaty foods such as live or frozen crustaceans, fish, and molluscs. Regular feeding is essential to maintain health.
Minimum Tank Size: At least 150 litres (40 gallons) recommended to provide ample swimming space and hiding places.
Lighting Requirements: Moderate lighting is suitable. Avoid overly bright conditions as the eel prefers shaded areas.
