Temperament and Compatibility: Generally peaceful but territorial, especially towards conspecifics and similar-shaped fish. Best kept singly or as a mated pair in a community tank with non-aggressive species. Exercise caution when housing with smaller, timid fish.
Diet: Carnivorous; thrives on a varied diet including high-quality frozen mysis, brine shrimp, and specialised pellet or flake foods formulated for marine carnivores.
Tank Requirements: A minimum tank size of 75 litres is recommended to provide adequate swimming space and territory. Provide plenty of live rock for hiding and establishing territories.
Reef Compatibility: Generally reef safe with caution. May nip at small ornamental invertebrates or very small fish, so monitor closely in reef setups.
