Temperament and Compatibility: Generally peaceful, the Grunt Snapper can coexist with a variety of other marine fish species. However, it may show mild territorial behaviour, especially in confined spaces. It is best kept with similarly sized or larger non-aggressive fish. Avoid housing with very small or timid species that may be stressed.

Diet: Carnivorous by nature, this species thrives on a varied diet including high-quality frozen or live meaty foods such as shrimp, krill, and small crustaceans. Supplement with marine pellets or flakes formulated for carnivorous fish to ensure balanced nutrition.

Tank Requirements: Due to its active swimming behaviour and potential adult size (up to approximately 30 cm), a minimum tank size of 180 litres (40 gallons) is recommended. Provide ample swimming space with rockwork to create hiding spots and territories.
