Acropora spp. (Maricultured) Tiny are small fragments of one of the most sought-after genera of Small Polyp Stony (SPS) corals, prized for their intricate branching structures and vibrant colours. These corals are maricultured, ensuring sustainable sourcing and enhanced acclimation to aquarium conditions.
Lighting: Acropora spp. require strong, high-intensity lighting such as metal halide, T5, or high-output LED systems to thrive and maintain their vivid pigmentation.
Water Flow: Moderate to high water flow is essential to prevent detritus accumulation and to promote healthy polyp extension.
Placement: Position these corals higher in the tank to maximise light exposure, ensuring adequate spacing from neighbouring corals to avoid aggression and tissue damage.
Care Level: Due to their sensitivity to water quality and environmental changes, Acropora spp. are best suited to experienced marine aquarists who maintain stable, pristine water parameters.
Additional Notes: Regular monitoring of calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium levels is recommended to support skeletal growth. Fragging should be performed carefully to avoid stress.
