Care Level: Moderate to advanced. Bloch’s Surgeonfish requires stable water parameters and a well-maintained environment.

Temperament: Generally semi-aggressive. It can be territorial, especially towards other tangs, so careful tankmate selection is essential.

Diet: Primarily herbivorous. Provide a varied diet rich in marine algae, seaweed sheets, and supplemented with high-quality herbivore pellets and occasional meaty treats.

Minimum Tank Size: 180 litres (approximately 50 gallons) or larger to accommodate its active swimming and territorial behaviour.

Reef Safe: With Caution. While generally reef safe, it may nip at certain sessile invertebrates or corals if underfed or stressed.
