The Cirrhilabrus katherinae, commonly known as the Katherine’s Wrasse, is a captivating marine fish prized for its vivid colours and graceful swimming. The male displays more intense hues, making it a striking addition to any reef aquarium.

Temperament: Peaceful and active, generally compatible with other non-aggressive tank mates.
Diet: Carnivorous; thrives on a varied diet including high-quality frozen mysis, brine shrimp, and specialised marine pellets.
Minimum Tank Size: 120 litres (approximately 30 gallons) to provide ample swimming space and territory.
Lighting Requirements: Standard reef lighting is sufficient; no special lighting needed.
Water Flow: Moderate water movement mimicking natural reef currents is ideal.
Placement: Mid to lower levels of the aquarium; provide plenty of live rock for hiding and foraging.
Origin: Indo-Pacific region.
Maximum Size: Up to 8 cm (3 inches).
This species is considered reef safe with caution, as it may occasionally nip at very small invertebrates but generally coexists well in a reef environment.
