Tubastrea faulkneri, commonly known as the Orange Sun Coral, is a stunning Large Polyp Stony (LPS) coral prized for its bright orange polyps and hardy nature. This extra large specimen offers a dramatic focal point for mature reef aquariums.

Lighting: Moderate to low lighting is preferred, as Tubastrea faulkneri is a non-photosynthetic coral that relies primarily on feeding rather than symbiotic zooxanthellae. Avoid intense direct light to prevent stress.

Water Flow: Moderate, indirect water flow is ideal to ensure adequate nutrient delivery while preventing tissue damage. Strong direct currents should be avoided.

Placement: Position this coral on shaded rockwork or in crevices where it can extend its polyps safely without competition. Provide ample space from neighbouring corals to prevent aggression, as Tubastrea faulkneri can extend long sweeper tentacles.
