Lighting: Moderate to high lighting is recommended to support healthy growth and maintain vibrant pigmentation. LED or T5 lighting systems with a spectrum suitable for coral photosynthesis work well.

Water Flow: Moderate, indirect water flow is ideal. Too strong a current can damage the delicate polyps, while too little flow may lead to detritus accumulation.

Placement: Position Oxypora spp. on stable rockwork where they have room to expand their plating structure. Ensure adequate spacing from neighbouring corals to prevent aggressive interactions, as they possess sweeper tentacles.

Care Level: Moderate. Regular water parameter monitoring and stable conditions are essential. Maintain calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium within optimal reef aquarium ranges.

Diet: Primarily photosynthetic via symbiotic zooxanthellae, but benefit from occasional feeding of small meaty foods such as coral-specific liquid foods or finely chopped mysis shrimp.
