The Cirrhilabrus lineatus, known as the Lined Wrasse, is a strikingly colourful marine fish prized for its vibrant stripes and peaceful nature. This Extra Large specimen is suitable for advanced hobbyists who can provide ample space and stable water conditions.
Temperament and Compatibility: The Lined Wrasse is generally peaceful and can be kept with other non-aggressive tank mates. It is best housed in a species-rich community aquarium with plenty of hiding places. Avoid keeping with overly aggressive fish or other wrasses of similar shape to prevent territorial disputes.
Diet: This wrasse thrives on a varied diet including high-quality frozen mysis, brine shrimp, and specialised marine pellets. Supplement with live foods to encourage natural hunting behaviour.
Tank Requirements: A minimum tank size of 120 litres (approximately 30 gallons) is recommended to provide sufficient swimming space. The aquarium should be well-established with live rock for shelter and foraging.
Water Parameters: Maintain stable marine conditions with temperature between 24-27°C, salinity at 1.023-1.025 SG, pH 8.1-8.4, and moderate water flow.
Reef Compatibility: This species is reef safe and can be kept in reef aquariums, though caution is advised as it may prey on very small invertebrates.
With its captivating colours and peaceful disposition, the Cirrhilabrus lineatus Extra Large makes a stunning addition to a mature marine aquarium.
