Temperament: Generally peaceful but active; best kept with similarly sized, non-aggressive tank mates.
Diet: Omnivorous – requires a varied diet including meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood, supplemented with marine algae or spirulina to ensure optimal health.
Tank Requirements: A minimum tank size of 180 litres is advised to provide ample swimming space. Good water quality with stable parameters is essential.
Reef Compatibility: With caution – this species may nip at small invertebrates or delicate corals, so careful monitoring is recommended in reef setups.
Lighting and Water Flow: Standard marine aquarium lighting and moderate water flow are suitable to mimic their natural environment.
Placement: Mid to upper water column swimmers; provide open swimming areas and some shelter with live rock formations.
