Acropora tenuis is a stunning SPS coral prized for its intricate branching structure and vibrant colours, making it a sought-after addition to mature reef aquariums. Our Grade A specimens are carefully selected for health, polyp extension, and colour vibrancy, ensuring a premium coral for your marine setup.
Care Level: This species is best suited for experienced hobbyists due to its specific lighting and water quality requirements.
Lighting: Requires strong, high-intensity lighting such as metal halide, T5, or high-output LEDs to thrive and maintain vibrant colours.
Water Flow: Prefers moderate to strong, turbulent water flow to mimic natural reef conditions and prevent detritus accumulation.
Placement: Position higher in the tank to ensure adequate light exposure. Provide sufficient spacing from neighbouring corals to avoid aggressive interactions and allow for growth.
Water Parameters: Maintain stable conditions with temperature between 24-27°C, salinity at 1.025 specific gravity, calcium 400-450 ppm, alkalinity 8-12 dKH, and magnesium 1250-1350 ppm.
Compatibility: Reef safe with adequate spacing. Avoid placing too close to aggressive corals to prevent stinging or overgrowth.
Feeding: Primarily photosynthetic but benefits from occasional feeding of coral foods such as phytoplankton or specialised SPS coral supplements.
Adding Acropora tenuis to your reef tank will enhance its natural beauty and biodiversity, provided its husbandry needs are met with care and precision.
