Care Level: Moderate to advanced. Sepia bandensis demands stable water parameters and a secure tank setup to prevent escape.

Diet: Carnivorous, feeding primarily on live or frozen crustaceans such as mysis shrimp, small crabs, and other meaty marine fare. Regular feeding is essential to maintain health.

Compatibility and Reef Safety: With Caution. While generally peaceful, they may prey on small tankmates and are best kept in species-specific or carefully selected community tanks. Not recommended for reef tanks with delicate invertebrates.

Tank Requirements: A minimum tank size of 75 litres is recommended to provide ample swimming space and reduce stress. Secure lids are essential to prevent escape, as cuttlefish are adept at squeezing through small gaps.
