Nemanthias carberryi is a striking anthias species known for its vivid colours and graceful swimming behaviour. This species is best suited to well-established marine reef aquariums with ample swimming space and stable water conditions.
Temperament and Compatibility: Generally peaceful, Nemanthias carberryi coexists well with other non-aggressive tank mates. It is recommended to keep them in groups or harems to encourage natural social behaviour. Avoid housing with overly aggressive or territorial species.
Diet: This anthias thrives on a varied diet consisting of high-quality frozen or live foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. Regular feeding multiple times a day is beneficial to mimic their natural feeding habits.
Tank Requirements: A minimum tank size of 150 litres (approximately 40 gallons) is advised to provide sufficient swimming room. Stable water parameters with a temperature range of 24-27°C, pH 8.1-8.4, and salinity of 1.023-1.025 are ideal.
Reef Compatibility: Nemanthias carberryi is considered reef safe and can be kept in reef aquariums without posing a threat to corals or invertebrates.
Additional Care: Provide plenty of live rock for shelter and resting spots. Moderate water flow and lighting conditions typical of reef tanks are suitable.
