Care Level: Moderate to advanced. This species requires stable water conditions and a suitably large environment to accommodate its growth and territorial nature.

Temperament: Semi-aggressive. Epinephelus flavocaeruleus can be territorial, especially towards smaller or more passive tankmates. It is best housed with similarly sized or larger fish to minimise aggression.

Diet: Carnivorous. Feed a varied diet of meaty foods such as live or frozen crustaceans, fish fillets, and specialised marine pellets to ensure optimal health.

Minimum Tank Size: 500 litres (approximately 130 gallons). Due to their potential size and active nature, a large tank with ample swimming space and hiding spots is essential.
