Centropyge eibli, commonly known as the Eibli Angelfish, is a captivating addition to any marine aquarium. This medium-sized dwarf angelfish displays vivid blue and yellow markings that bring vibrant colour to your tank.
Temperament and Compatibility: Generally moderately peaceful, Centropyge eibli can be territorial, especially towards conspecifics or similar species. It is best kept singly or as a mated pair in a tank with plenty of live rock for grazing and shelter. Compatibility with other peaceful fish is usually good, but caution is advised when housing with other dwarf angelfish or slow-moving species.
Diet: Omnivorous by nature, this species thrives on a varied diet including marine algae, spirulina, mysis shrimp, and specialised angelfish preparations. Regular feeding of meaty and vegetable matter supports vibrant colouration and health.
Tank Requirements: A minimum tank size of 120 litres (approximately 30 gallons) is recommended to provide ample swimming space and territory. The aquarium should be mature with stable water parameters and abundant live rock to facilitate natural grazing behaviour.
Reef Compatibility: With caution. While generally reef safe, Centropyge eibli may nip at corals or clam mantles, so monitoring is essential in sensitive reef setups.
Care Level: Moderate. Suitable for aquarists with some marine experience due to specific dietary and territorial needs.
Providing stable water conditions with temperatures between 24-27°C, moderate lighting, and moderate water flow will help maintain optimal health.
