Overview: The Chaetodontoplus duboulayi, commonly known as the Scribbled Angelfish, is a visually captivating species prized by marine aquarists. This tank-bred specimen ensures healthier adaptation to captive conditions and reduces wild collection impact.
Temperament and Compatibility: Generally peaceful but territorial towards conspecifics and similar species. Best housed singly or as a mated pair in a well-established aquarium. Compatible with other peaceful fish but avoid aggressive or overly boisterous tankmates.
Diet: Omnivorous diet including high-quality marine angelfish pellets, frozen mysis shrimp, spirulina, and marine algae. Regular feeding 2-3 times daily supports vibrant colouration and health.
Tank Requirements: Minimum recommended tank size is 180 litres (approximately 45 gallons) to provide ample swimming space and territory. Provide plenty of live rock for grazing and shelter.
Water Parameters: Maintain stable marine conditions with temperature 24-27°C, salinity 1.023-1.025 SG, pH 8.1-8.4, and moderate water flow.
Reef Compatibility: With caution. May nip at sessile invertebrates such as soft corals and clam mantles. Suitable for fish-only or fish-dominant reef systems where sensitive corals are minimal.
Origin: Not Provided.
