Temperament and Compatibility: Generally peaceful but can be territorial towards conspecifics or similar-shaped butterflyfish. Best kept singly or as a mated pair in a community tank with other peaceful species.
Diet: Omnivorous. Provide a varied diet including high-quality frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, marine algae, and specialised prepared foods formulated for butterflyfish. Regular feeding 2-3 times daily is ideal.
Minimum Tank Size: A minimum of 120 litres (approximately 30 gallons) is recommended to provide ample swimming space and maintain water quality.
Lighting and Water Flow: Standard reef aquarium lighting is suitable. Moderate water flow mimicking natural reef currents is preferred to ensure oxygenation and waste removal.
