Origin: Western Atlantic Ocean, including the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico.

Due to its specialised dietary needs and sensitivity to water quality, the Chaetodon capistratus is recommended for experienced marine aquarists. Regular monitoring and a varied diet will help maintain health and vibrant coloration.
