Symphyllia spp. (Splitcolour) is a captivating large polyp stony (LPS) coral prized for its bold, contrasting colours and unique skeletal morphology. This medium-sized specimen is suitable for marine reef tanks where moderate lighting and gentle water movement can be maintained.

Lighting: Moderate lighting is recommended to preserve the coral’s vibrant pigmentation without causing stress. Avoid intense direct light which may lead to bleaching.

Water Flow: Gentle to moderate water flow is ideal, ensuring adequate nutrient delivery while preventing tissue damage from strong currents.

Placement: Position this coral on the substrate or lower to mid-level rockwork, allowing sufficient space from neighbouring corals to prevent aggressive interactions. Symphyllia spp. can extend sweeper tentacles, so maintain at least 10cm clearance.
