Euphyllia paraancora (Green) (Ultra)

The Euphyllia paraancora (Green) Ultra is a spectacular large LPS coral prized for its vibrant green colouration and distinctive flowing tentacles. This coral adds dynamic movement and a splash of vivid colour to mature reef aquariums.

Lighting: Moderate to high lighting is recommended to maintain optimal health and vibrant colour. LED or T5 lighting systems are suitable, but avoid intense direct light that may cause bleaching.

Water Flow: Moderate, indirect water flow is ideal to gently sway the coral’s tentacles without causing tissue damage. Too strong a current can stress the coral.

Placement: Position this coral in a mid to lower area of the tank where it has ample space to expand. Ensure adequate spacing from neighbouring corals to prevent aggressive interactions, as Euphyllia species possess sweeper tentacles.

Compatibility: Reef safe with adequate spacing from other corals. Avoid placing near aggressive or fast-growing species that may overshadow or damage it.

Feeding: While primarily photosynthetic, occasional feeding of meaty foods such as brine shrimp or specialised coral foods can promote growth and vibrancy.

Care Level: Moderate. Suitable for aquarists with some experience in maintaining LPS corals.
