Amphiprion epigrammata, commonly known as the Scribbled Anemonefish, is a captivating species prized by marine aquarium enthusiasts for its distinctive markings and manageable care requirements. Available as a pair in various sizes, these clownfish bring vibrant colour and dynamic behaviour to your tank.
Temperament and Compatibility: Amphiprion epigrammata are generally peaceful and can be kept with other non-aggressive fish species. They form strong pair bonds and are best housed as a mated pair. Caution is advised when mixing with other anemonefish species to avoid territorial disputes.
Diet: These clownfish thrive on a varied diet including high-quality marine flake foods, frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other meaty preparations. Feeding should be done 1-2 times daily to maintain optimal health.
Tank Requirements: A minimum tank size of 75 litres is recommended to provide adequate swimming space and territory. Stable water parameters with temperatures between 24-27°C, salinity of 1.023-1.025, and good filtration are essential.
Reef Compatibility: Amphiprion epigrammata are considered reef safe with caution. They may host in certain anemones but can occasionally nip at corals or invertebrates, so monitoring is advised.
Care Level: Suitable for intermediate hobbyists familiar with marine fish husbandry.
